Welcome to Sam Schmidt Motorsports. As the all-time dominating force in Firestone Indy Lights, the team placed three drivers in the top-ten of the 2009 championship standings, including taking up the 4th and 5th positions. We have rewritten the record books with 34 pole positions and WINNING 31 races.
Our highlights from the 2009 season include having two drivers visiting victory lane and having Wade Cunningham return Sam Schmidt Motorsports to the winner's circle at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Freedom 100. Having been a part of Firestone Indy Lights since its inception, Sam Schmidt Motorsports has a rich history and tradition within the development series graduating no less than five drivers to the IndyCar Series. Ride along with us in 2010 as drivers J.K. Vernay, Philip Major, and Pippa Mann chase WINS, pole positions and work hard to bring the championship back to SSM!!
