Sunday’s Valley of the Moon 100 at the Infineon Raceway saw Ryan Justice earn his Indy Pro Series career best finish of second with Logan Gomez finishing fourth.
Justice started on the pole and led 18 laps of the 30 lap race, but he couldn’t hold off eventual race winner Richard Antinucci of Cheever Racing.
Still, the second-place effort is Justice’s best, and with the results he’s had this year, he’s quite happy to take it.

Saturday night saw four Sam Schmidt Motorsports entries take the green flag for the Kentucky 100 Indy Pro Series race.
Unfortunately, only one of them finished on the lead lap.
Alex Lloyd dueled with Wade Cunningham and Hideki Mutoh on the last lap during a thrilling three-wide race for the lead. Heading into the final set of turns, Lloyd held the top spot.

Friday night saw all four Sam Schmidt Motorsports cars qualify
in the top 10, with three being in the top five.
Alex Lloyd led the charge having qualified second. Logan Gomez qualified
fourth, and series new-comer Leilani Münter qualified fifth - to her own
surprise.
An excited Münter climbed from her car and hugged everyone in site.

Alex Lloyd was running second just after the halfway point of the Indy Pro Series Mid-100 on Sunday morning when he lost drive to his rear wheel on a lap 25 restart.
The result was a 22nd-place finish and a loss of 21 points in the season point standings to second-place Hideki Mutoh.
Logan Gomez had the best drive he’s ever had on a road course, but the 10th-place finish didn’t justify that amount of effort he’s put in to improving his race craft on the road courses this weekend.

In an “all-skate” 25-minute qualifying session at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Saturday morning, Alex Lloyd and his Lucas Oil crew stole the pole with his last qualifying lap.

After qualifying early on Sunday, being bumped later in the afternoon, and only having minutes to spare before the 6 p.m. deadline, Buddy Lazier and Sam Schmidt Motorsports managed to bump their way back into the starting lineup for the 91st Indianapolis 500.

Sam Schmidt Motorsports driver Ryan Justice was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami after being involved in a crash during the Miami 100 on Saturday.
When safety crews arrived at the scene of the accident, Justice was unconscious. The crews extracted him, and by the time he was placed into the transportation helicopter, he was awake and alert.
