·Entered Skip Barber Formula Dodge competition. Claimed the pole position and the race win in his first series start. Finished in the top three in seven of eight events.

·Contested the SCCA Formula Ford 1600 national series, claiming victory in only his third series start.
·Competed in European Formula Ford 1800, with a best finish of fifth at the Marlboro Masters in Zandvoort, Netherlands.
