7th for Hearn

Richmond: Richie Hearn drove to another top-ten finish in his #20 BG Products Sam Schmidt Motorsports Racing Special in the Suntrust Indy Challenge from the Richmond International Raceway. Hearn finished seventh on the lead lap despite being blocked out of his pit and being forced to pit a second time.

"We were a lot better right off the truck," said Hearn. "The team did a great job getting prepared for this two-day event and it showed starting nine spots better than we did in Colorado. The car was pretty good in the race, but we still have some work to do on these types of tracks. I got blocked out of my pit on the last pit stop and that hurt us. Despite going to the back of the line, we were able to work our way back up through the field and still manage a seventh."

Sam Schmidt Motorsports is now ninth in season entrant points. The next race is the Ameristar Casino Indy 200 on July 7th from the Kansas Speedway and can be seen on ABC at 1 p.m. (EDT).
