Robby McGehee Reunited with Treadway for Hometown Race

Indianapolis: Robby McGehee will drive Treadway-Hubbard Racing’s No.55 Atlas Van Lines/Sam Schmidt Motorsports Indy Car in next weekends Gateway Indy 250 in McGehee’s hometown of St. Louis. McGehee drove for Treadway in the 2000 season leading six of the nine races and finishing a career best 2nd in the June race from the Texas Motor Speedway.

“I’m glad we were able to put this deal together,” said McGehee. “I’m looking forward to being back in the car especially with the Treadway crew and in my hometown. I had my best IRL finish with Treadway and they were really strong in St. Louis last year before they broke so we’re hoping to build on that. I have to thank all the local St. Louis companies for helping make this a reality along with Ray Parsons, Sam Schmidt and the entire Treadway team.”

McGehee and team received support from local St. Louis based ABC Moving and Storage an Atlas Van Lines Agent, Welsch Heating and Cooling, McBride and Sons, Harvesty Homes, and Compton Roofing. The team plans to test Friday in St. Louis in preparation for the August 25th race.
