Hearn Starting 15th

Ft. Worth: Richie Hearn will start 15th in the Boomtown 500 from the Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday night. Hearn driving the #99 Grill2GO entry for Sam Schmidt Motorsports turned a best lap of 24.2966 seconds and a top speed of 215.588 MPH.

“The car is better than that,” said Hearn. “We just missed the gearing a bit and it cost us. I was flat all the way around. We were faster in both earlier practice sessions so I know the car has more. We’ll work on race set up tomorrow and be ready to go Saturday night. It’s a long race. We’ll just take our time and use good strategy and pit stops to get to the front.”

The Boomtown 500 can be seen on ESPN Saturday night June 8th at 8 PM EDT.
