Another Top-Ten for Hearn

Ft. Worth: Richie Hearn drove to another top-ten finish in his #99 Grill2GO sponsored entry for Sam Schmidt Motorsports in the Boomtown 500 from the Texas Motor Speedway. Hearn who had run as high as third, finished ninth on the lead lap.

“It was pretty good,” said Hearn. “That was all the car had. I was flat all night. The car handled well and the crew had awesome pit stops and we had good strategy. We worked up to third and the other guys were still able to drive around the outside of me at the end. We still have some work to do, but I’m confident we’ll get better. I really have to thank Grill2GO and Sam (Schmidt) for the opportunity to drive these last couple races. We’ll just see what happens from here.”

The next race is the Radisson Indy 225 on June 16th from the Pike Peak International Raceway and can be seen on ABC at 4 p.m. (EDT).
